Demise column convict Saulat Mirza’s sister recorded on Thursday a request in the Sindh High Court to defer her sibling’s execution.
A hostile to terrorism court issued a demise warrant for the censured detainee, who fits in with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), on Wednesday
Sumera Wajahat, the candidate and Mirza’s sister, said an application has as of now been documented by her sibling with the Supreme Court against his execution.
Mirza, a target executioner, was sentenced to death in 1999 on charges of killing previous overseeing executive of Karachi Electric Supply Corporation Shahid Hamid alongside his driver Ashraf Brohi and protect Akbar Khan in July 1997 in the Defense Housing Authority zone of Karachi.
Wajahat argued against the demise warrants, issued by the ATC for the execution, booked for March 19, to be kept in suspension till a choice is made by the peak court.
Then again, court authorities questioned that certain records have not been attached to the request, and coordinated Wajahat’s legal advisor to record the same by tomorrow. The request is liable to be taken up by two judges for a hearing on Friday.
