Counter-Terrorism Force (CTF) another addition in Pakistani force and going to open station in Islamabad. The station will be filled with the latest high-tech surveillance system and latest weapons which used to deal with terrorism related cases.
The CTF station will cover the whole area of Islamabad. CTF station will be established along with the CTD (Counter Terrorism Department) Punjab. Before this force start working CID handled cover all type of terror cases.
Chief Commissioner allowed CTF to open station after their request.
The chief commissioner, ICT, has been pleased to constitute a new police station namely Police Station Counter-Terrorism Force, to investigate the cases registered under Anti Terrorism Act 1997, the jurisdiction of which will extend to the whole of Islamabad capital territory.
Under Anti-Terrorism Act they will registered the terrorism and sectarian related cases. All pending cases which handle by CID will moved to CTF station.
There are three key departments of this CTF station
The staff of this station will be around 50 persons.
