Police representatives confirmed that Samiullah was shot dead at on Warsak Road. The police officer included unknown attackers shot at Samiullah’s car injuring him. The lawyer later succumbed to his wounds at the hospital.
Samiullah had fled to Dubai in Dec 2013 soon after getting threats from militants but was going to the country.

“We claim responsibility for the killing of Shakil Afridi’s defence legal representative,” spokesperson for TTP JA, Ehsanullah Ehsan, informed by telephone late on Tuesday.
“Others who connected themselves to Afridi’s case should expect this kind of action,” Ehsan cautioned.
He refused the earlier reported claim of the strike by banned group, Jundullah.
